Channel One News Segment on Plant-for-the-Planet – October 22, 2017 Academy

Channel One News is a student news service that goes out to about 6 million students and school staff across the nation.

Thank you so much, Channel One News, for interviewing Felix, and for so beautifully covering the work of our youth, staff, and volunteers by sharing our day at the Plant-for-the-Planet Academy at the lovely and welcoming Muslim Educational Trust.

The important part not shown in the video is what our Ambassadors do with their training after the day of the Academy, but you can only cover so much in one day!

To find out more about how we are trying to protect the Earth and our future and the future of future generations, check out some examples of post-Academy work on our Facebook pages:

Mt. Hood Academy at Bark’s Basecamp on September 4, 2016

Mt. Hood Academy:

Register now for the Sunday, September 4, 2016 Bark Mt. Hood Forest Basecamp Academy!

Please note: All children attending this Academy must be accompanied a parent or guardian. Parents, please sign up as volunteers for the Academy at the link below. You can stay longer at Basecamp or make it a day trip, but camping the night before is a great option. We will do our very best to start promptly at 9:00. Students need to be on time and stay for the full Academy, so plan to be there from about 8:30 until 2:00.

Volunteer Ambassadors and Adults:

For more details about what to expect at Basecamp—and for how you can spend a day or a month’s worth of days protecting the forest—check out their site: .

Thank you for registering. We’re looking forward to meeting you!
